Teens Active in Grantmaking

Challenge

Teens Active in Grantmaking, or TAG, was a new program designed to introduce teens to grantmaking, philanthropy, and community impact. With no existing identity to build from, the program needed a brand that felt credible and professional while still being energetic, approachable, and exciting enough to connect with a younger audience.

Solution

The Relish Jar created a complete brand identity centered around the abbreviated TAG name, with primary, secondary, and icon logo variations designed for use across a wide range of platforms. A leaf element was incorporated as a subtle connection to the program’s parent organization, Community Foundation, helping the new identity feel distinct while still connected to the larger brand.

The Relish Jar also developed the broader visual system, including modern typography that could shift between playful and professional, a vibrant color palette designed to appeal to teens, and clear guidance for how TAG should be co-branded with Community Foundation. The result was a flexible, polished brand that gave the new program its own personality while maintaining a strong connection to the organization behind it.
