Travis Brown is our Chief Business Development Officer at The Relish Jar. He’s our rodeo-loving (we’re serious), self-proclaimed data nerd. His analytics and number-crunching matches with our creative team to bring balance to our force. He’s our resident “old man” but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We put him in the spotlight this month so you can get to know him too!
What is the best part of your job?
I love that it is something new each day, whether it be a different client, a different project, or a different approach. Being the analytics guy, I love diving into the numbers to determine how we can best help a client.
What’s a project that you worked on that really stands out to you? Why?
For me, the update to our Maestro Community Manager software. Obviously having the Main Street background this is a project that is always close to my heart. However, with this rollout it really took every member of our team, from updating the code to giving the software a fresh new look, updating all the training materials, etc.
What are some of your hobbies outside of work?
I love spending time with family and friends, listening to music, golfing (although you’d never know I enjoy it by the scores I put up). In recent years I’ve really been enjoying finding new bourbons to try. I also love watching sports!
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Don’t take criticism from someone you wouldn’t go to for advice.
If you had to pick a song to portray the culture of The Relish Jar, what would it be and why?
This is tough because there are so many to choose from. I think “Count on Me” by Bruno Mars because we have a great team that always comes together to help each other.
